The operation relies on stealth, controlled movement, and precise timing to avoid triggering a lockdown that would trap both Morozov and the team inside the quarantine zone. Success means securing the only scientist willing to expose the truth behind Project VEKTOR. Failure means losing him — and the last chance to uncover what’s been happening on Merek Island.

One of those teams includes Dr. Alexei Morozov, a senior researcher with access to the island’s deepest secrets — and the only one who’s finally decided he’s done being part of them. Morozov hasn’t been compromised. His handlers still think he’s following routine protocol inside Research Base Primor, the island’s primary lab complex. But his last covert transmission hinted at something bigger — references to Project VEKTOR, a program Russia claims was shut down years ago. Whatever he discovered inside that base, it was enough to make him risk everything. Time is the threat now. Primor’s internal schedule shows an upcoming data purge cycle, the kind they run before rotating personnel off the island. Once that purge begins, Morozov will be isolated, interrogated, or quietly removed from the roster. And if the FSB reviews his access logs or notices the anomalies in his last transmission, the window slams shut. Right now, he’s still just another scientist.
